Forcing muscle hypertrophy has absolutely nothing to do with moving a massive amount of weight. Its all about putting your working muscle under a constant tension throughout the set. This will make your muscles feel like they are oxygen deprived and lactic acid will build up rapidly. Once your working muscle is engorged with blood you must learn to fight through it. Believe me, it will hurt but THESE  ARE THE MONEY REPS that will eventually force your body to grow by creating a dynamic anabolic effect in the body!
